MailBuild API and Flash AS3

Posted by Mathew Patterson on October 14, 2008 12:34 PM

If you have a Flash based site, and you'd like to have a newsletter signup inside your Flash pages, then the MailBuild API is the way to go.

Thanks to MailBuild customer Kuljit Athwal we now have a (partial) API sample in Action Script 3, in addition to the existing AS2 sample files.

You can grab both versions over at our API sample kits page. Great work Kuljit!

Thanks for adding that, its very well written (hi KJ!). I was wondering if it's possible to remove API keys from the SWF file or use another way to authorize? I was just concerned about possible threats, ie. if someone decompiles the SWF and gets your subscribers' emails for spamming?

Hi there, thanks for putting this up, I'm extremely chuffed. have a few ideas to make it more secure and will keep you updated. I'm off to India in 3 days for 3 weeks, so it might not be until I get back.

Thanks again!
